Zadi Slim

Zadi Slim is a UK-based Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer. Born Henry Ovuson, His love for music started with a love for sounds, which led him to start playing drums in high school. He later began performing songs by other artists at school parties, where he became known as the life of the party, before eventually creating music of his own.

For Zadi Slim, music has always been a way of expressing real life experiences, emotions and the things happening around him. He draws inspiration from his African roots, combining storytelling, catchy hooks and melodies that connect with people from the first listen. He has developed a pen game that often becomes the talking point whenever his music is played. 

During his foundation year, Zadi Slim was awarded Best Student Artiste of the Year. That recognition gave him the encouragement to take music more seriously and helped him make the decision to pursue music as a full-time creative.

After parting ways with his former label, he lost access to the masters from his earlier catalogue. He has been rebuilding with fresh energy, new music and a renewed vision. What could have been a setback has turned to the beginning of a new era. 

Zadi Slim has continued to release new music and grow his audience, earning millions of streams across streaming platforms and thousands of followers on social media. His single “Woman” from his forthcoming album Pen 2 Melodies, has been gaining momentum on TikTok. His album is due to be released a few months from now.
